Process Description
Fluidyne is an OEM supplier of Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) to the wastewater treatment industry. SBR's are used to treat municipal and industrial wastes. The system operates as follows: during fill/react, the system is circulating the wastewater and injecting air. After a predetermined time, the system goes into settle, (i.e. no mixing and no air). The clean supernatant fluid is then decanted from the tank and usually sent to a chlorine contact system. After decant, a waste sludge pump drains off heavier solids and usually sends them to a digester. Fluidyne sells their products throughout the world. FEC Technologies has been their control system supplier since 1987.

Project Description
FEC Technologies has supplied controls to Fluidyne for over 10 years. There are over 80 Fluidyne systems in operation with FEC controls in the US, Mexico and Canada, ranging in size from 6000 gpd to 4 mgd in 1 to 4 tanks. From a simple mechanical description, FEC will design, manufacture, program and functionally test each system. Below is a partial installation list.
