Waterjet Cutting

When precision cuts need to be made, the OMAX Jet Machining Center can meet the most exacting size specifications. Our waterjet cutting and fabrication machine works with a wide variety of materials, including metals, ceramics, composites, glass. Even hard, reflective and nonconductive materials can be cut, such as marble and granite.

The ultra-high pressure direct drive pump and traction drive coupled with position feedback from a linear scale results in the highest precision. The final finish is satin smooth, reducing secondary operations. No rough edges, minimal burrs or jagged edges.

Because the abrasive jet uses water and abrasive, the material is not heated significantly during the cutting process so there are no heat affected zones or mechanical stresses. This makes the OMAX waterjet cutting machine ideal for materials that are heat sensitive, such as titanium and anodized metals.
